Hurricanes, Hunting and Twilight

10/07/2024 From Taylor

I hope you have a good night.  I miss you so much.  I am glad you connected with Elise and she has a plan.  Never once in my life have I had a concern about hurricanes other than to send my thoughts and prayers.  Now this year I have had to pay attention to both Tornadoes and Hurricanes because they are personal now…it’s weird.

I hope you slept well…Did the boys like their letters from last week? You never follow up with me on that stuff and I always want to know their reactions, if you look anything up, just how they are.  I miss being able to see the wonder on their faces and I want to hear about it.  Same with Fisher and Ben…I feel like I am sometimes just blindly dropping envelopes in the mail box unsure if they actually arrive.

 I love you,

Taylor

Honey- I love you so much.

I need to be better about writing about the letters. The boys loved theirs!! Joe is so excited to go hunting with you when you get home. He thinks a bow sounds great- but is going to need one “his size” :). Caleb also loved his.. I always love when you recap stories I’m familiar with. It was fun remembering Alaska and also when we went to the Cleaver’s cabin. Time really does fly!!

I love you so much honey- sleep well! I’ll write more tomorrow.

Love you

Marie

So it was the bear in the river and the running elk story.  I always wonder how far back they are.  That’s good, thanks for letting me know.  We do need to get Joe a bow his size. Bear makes some bows for kids that are good.  (maybe not to hunt deer though).

You don’t need to write letters, just send pictures, tell about the kids doing cool things and emails, that’s all I ask.

 I love you baby,

Taylor

Honey- it was great talking to you tonight- even though I feel like I took over that conversation. Anything else you wanted to tell me? I love you so much. Already wondering when I can come back.

I’m at the skatepark now with the kids- Caleb said “I love twilight skating :)”. So cute!! The street lights are all on, but the weather is still nice. It’s been an amazing fall so far.

I don’t mind when you take over the conversation.  Yesterday was just a really lonely day, so it was nice to hear you were super busy doing something.  I am glad you are wondering when you can come back, I hope you figure out a time really soon.  I miss you so much.

I think it is soooo cute how big Caleb’s vocabulary is.  How many 5 year olds say ‘twilight’, he is super cute.  Or saying he is feeling ‘nervous’.   I love it so much…I guess all the times we said “use your words” over the years really rubbed off on him.  I think it is so awesome how much you take them to skate parks. They are all going to be so good at that.  I don’t know that I ever had a skate park to play at, they were super rare when I was a kid.  It was all parking lots, stair rails, and dirt tracks for bikes…

Love,

Taylor
